Hummus is a documentary film that seeks to unite communities in Park Royal through food and heritage. It aims to showcase communities’ mosaic in the Old Oak and Park Royal, creating a cultural exchange by exploring food heritage traditions within the Middle Eastern communities. The project will be made in cooperation with Adam Skup – a local filmmaker – and will tell the stories of between 5-6 residents; this will culminate in a half-hour documentary screened in various community venues (such as the Levant Book Café).
The project curated by Sulaiman Othman and funded by the Great Place Scheme( Old Oak & Park Royal), Arts Council England and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
